When Smart Fortress 2012 virus enters computers users face quite a bunch of fake, misleading and scary security notifications. As you know from the previous post on this subject, Smart Fortress is a rogue security program that imitates the legitimate one. Nothing it tells you should be trusted. Instead, please ignore its bogus warnings and do not follow the advises it recommends. For example, while trying to download certain anti-virus software via your browser you may get the message with the following content:

Warning! The site you are trying to visit may harm your computer.
Your security setting level puts your computer at risk!
Activate Smart Fortress 2012, and enable safe web surfing (recommended).
Ignore warnings and visit that site in the current state (not recommended).

In such case you need to click the option to ignore such warning. The site you try to download security software from is clean. This warning is the attempt of the rogue to convince you that it is legit. Instead, Smart Fortress is the serious infection that should be eliminated. So, choose the second alternative – click “Ignore warnings and visit that site in the current state”. Then you will be able to download the malware remover and get rid of this scareware.
